The United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) Global Sports Programme increases Member States awareness about the unification value of sport and provides stability to help developing and transitional nations recognize their true sporting potential. With the creation of the new UN Sports peacebuilding platform, the United Nations will advance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in a way never before imagined and address the humanitarian needs of an ever changing world.
